Jeffrey L. Ritter - Candidate, Place 1, Richland Hills City Council
Jeffrey Ritter - The candidate with a Vision for Richland Hills.
My desire to be on the City Council stems from a vision which includes a balance of commercial business and a quality lifestyle for the citizens.

I have lived in Richland Hills for 31 years, and have seen a great many changes. As a councilman, I will always respect Richland Hills' history, and be aware that all decisions I make will affect Richland Hills' future.

I will work toward a permanent structure at Kate Baker park, economic development along Baker and Hwy 26, and continued high-quality city services.

My vision includes my belief in fairness, my desire to help others, and my belief that Richland Hills can and must continue to progress in order to bring the best quality of life possible to the citizens, businesses, and visitors to the city.

I also believe the Council must be focused on maintaining our city. I want to see continuing curb and street repair, drainage problems addressed, safe, clean neighborhoods, and a continued strong police force and fire department for the safety of our citizens.

To pay for the needed repairs and maintenance, I will work to bring much needed businesses and commercial entities to Richland Hills.

I will work for a sound financial plan for our city, and a fair homestead tax exemption for all citizens.

The city must find a permanent tenant for the Sam’s Club property, develop business along Baker Boulevard, Highway 26, and around the TRE Railroad station.

My vision for Richland Hills also includes a quality permanent structure at Kate Baker Park.

I am a proponent of The "T" in Richland Hills, and as a Council member, will work to ensure a high-quality and cost-effective public transportation system throughout the city and region.
There are a variety of issues facing our city. Road conditions, water supply, needed business growth, curbs, transportation, safe neighborhoods, and the concerns of the citizens must all be considered as a Council member.

With each issue, there are always several entities with various needs and priorities that must be considered when making decisions.

My education has allowed me to earn a Bachelor's degree, 2 Master's degrees, and several certificates. This has taught me the value of diligence and hard work in pursuit of a goal. It is with this work ethic that I will work for Richland Hills.

I look forward to the opportunity to serve Richland Hills in making often difficult decisions.
As a band director, computer teacher, administrator, and current college professor, I must deal with a variety of people, each with their own interests and needs.

As an amateur radio operator and storm-spotter, I understand the need for first-rate emergency and civil services.

My interest in civic activities has led me to be an emergency services volunteer for Richland Hills, and a Crime Watch block captain.

I currently serve as secretary of the Richland Hills Transportation Advisory Board.
