I was born May 11, 1968 in Fort Worth, Texas. Just after I was born, the Railroad moved my family to Topeka, KS.
We moved into Richland Hills in 1973, and I have been here ever since.
I graduated from Haltom High School in May 1986, and was lucky enough to receive a scholarship to Texas Weslyan University. I majored in Music Education and performed in most all musical ensembles on campus. I was selected to be a member of "Who's Who in Colleges And Universities" and graduated with a Bachelor Of Music Education degree in 1991.
After teaching band, I did my post-graduate studies at University Of North Texas in Denton where I received my Master Of Music Education in 1997. In 1999, I received my Master Of Education in Administration, also from UNT.
I continued my studies and earned my "Educational Computing" and "Advanced Technology" Certifications.
I am politically active and participate in local, state, and national political activities.
My hobbies include Model Railroading, trainspotting, Amateur Radio (N5VAV), everything outdoors, music, and computers.
I have a wide variety of interests.
